Graphtec Data Logger Gl980

Overview:

The Graphtec Data Logger Gl980 is an 8-channel standalone data recorder that can monitor voltage and true RMS. Analog inputs can also be useful with K, J, E, T, R, S, B, N, and W-type temperature sensors, 0-500V or humidity sensors via B-530 sensor.

The Graphtec Data Logger Gl980 has a 7″ wide TFT color LCD with waveforms and digital options. Internal RAM supports up to 4 million observations per channel, and the SD card connector supports up to 4GB sd card. The built-in USB connector permits data transmission to a computer or laptop, while the Ethernet port connects to a LAN.

The Graphtec Data Logger Gl980 supports FTP server services as well as NTP synchronization through Ethernet or WLAN connections. Emails could be easily sent to transmit data when alarms occur, as well as notifications for power, communications, or memory problems.

Accessories used with Gl980:

B-513:

Alarm cable for the GL Series data recorders. Connectivity to the logic/pulse input, exterior trigger input, external sampling input, and warning signal output are all available. The cable is 2m long with flying leads and supports four logic inputs and four alarm outputs.

B-514:

Power supply cable for GL Series data recorders. The cable measures 2m in length and has flying leads on one end and a power adapter on the other.

B-569:

B-569 Data logger battery pack for the GL Series. Li-Ion battery pack with 7.2V and 2900mAh capacity. A single unit can power the GL840-M, GL240 & GL840-WV, and GL2000 Data Loggers. The GL-980 requires two packs to operate.

Applications of Graphtec Data Logger Gl980:

  • Water heater rate of flow and temperature testing.
  • Residential thermal shielding performance evaluation.
  • Air conditioner inverter performance testing.
  • Generator voltage and temperature monitoring.
  • Washer and dryer performance testing.
  • Brake component testing measurement.

Usage of Graphtec Data Logger Gl980:

The GL980 has an isolated input method to shield signals from interference from other channels’ noise. To achieve high-speed and high-resolution measurements, a 16-bit A/D converter was usable.

Concurrent Sampling

The Graphtec Data Logger Gl980 employs simultaneous sampling to avoid sample rate slowing by employing several A/D converters in the simultaneous sampling approach. The sampling frequency speed for all eight channels is usually maintained by eight independent A/D converters in each channel to monitor high-speed fast voltage fluctuations and multi-channel vibration monitoring.

Helpful Functions of Gl980:

Provides accurate measurements at a site with an unsteady power source

There are three power supply options: AC adapter, DC input, and power bank. The Graphtec Data Logger Gl980 can operate continuously for around 2 hours with a battery pack. If the power fails, it will shift from the AC adaptor to the battery pack. Furthermore, when the battery pack’s voltage falls below a certain level, the measurement is immediately terminated after storing the data file, preserving the gathered data.

Supports large built-in RAM and Flash

With 4 M samples of built-in RAM and 4 GB of built-in Flash memory, long-term recording is feasible. It enables the usage of USB Flash memory and SD Card memory as external hard drives for recorded data at certain sampling intervals. know more about Data logger Products.
