Product Description
Salt Spray Chamber or Salt Fog Test Chambers are made for testing the corrosion-resistant properties of metal parts, zinc plated nuts and bolts, surface coating, and paint. In such chambers, coated samples are put under an artificial corrosion environment to evaluate how suitable the coating surface is to use as a protective finish on final products.
Samples are examined under test at a pre-determined amount of time; the higher the corrosion resistivity longer will be the test time duration. The salt spray test is a standardized and popular method used to check the corrosion resistance of materials and surface coatings. Usually, the materials to be tested are metallic (although stone, ceramics, and polymers may also be tested) and finished with a surface coating intended to provide a degree of corrosion protection to the underlying metal.
